Montreal Fashion Week 2025 was rich in emotion and great achievements for Marigold. Between awards, collective initiatives, and inspiring encounters, we look back at this momentous week which highlights more than ever the importance of local and eco-responsible fashion.

A significant victory at the mmode gala

At the 2025 mmode gala, Marigold won the Fashion and Apparel Technology Transformation Award. This distinction highlights more than 10 years of work on ready-to-wear designed in the Verdun workshop, with transparency, semi-customization, and support for local artisans.

Proud and grateful, Marilyne Baril sees this award as the beginning of beautiful new things for Marigold and reaffirms her commitment to local, sustainable, and responsible fashion.

Launch of the ACMI Association

In this same collective momentum, Marilyne Baril and her fellow designers took advantage of the Printemps des Créateurs to officially launch the Association des créateurs.trices de mode indépendants.es (ACMI).

Together, they want to support emerging talent, promote ethical and local fashion, and build a platform of solidarity to showcase Quebec talent to the public and institutions.

A meaningful future

These highlights mark an important step for Marigold and for local fashion as a whole. A big thank you to everyone who follows and supports us, as well as to the teams behind the mmode gala, Printemps des Créateurs, and Montreal Fashion Week.

At Marigold, we move forward proudly, with the desire to promote local, ethical, and eco-responsible fashion every day. This recognition motivates us to continue our mission: to create clothing that combines style, authenticity, and respect, while supporting the Quebec creative ecosystem.

See you soon,

The Marigold Team 🌸
