Marigold continues to push the boundaries of Quebec, driven by a bold vision and a passion for ethical fashion. A key player in this expansion is SODEC (Société de développement des entreprises culturelles).
Thanks to the Export and Cultural Outreach grant, Marigold was able to participate in this grant twice, in 2021 and 2024, which allowed us to strengthen our presence abroad and participate in trade fairs.

This program aims to improve the positioning of Quebec cultural products outside Quebec, to promote the expertise of Quebec's cultural industries, and to increase the competitiveness of local businesses.
SODEC's support was fundamental in transforming our ambition into reality, opening doors to global opportunities while promoting Quebec know-how. Today, Marigold is a brand recognized beyond our borders, still expanding and always true to its roots.

At the same time, Marigold also received one-year Inclusion Data Collection grants in 2021 and 2024. These grants aim to collect data on the representation of underrepresented groups in cultural businesses, including women, First Nations and Inuit people, and ethnocultural minorities. This initiative allows SODEC to improve its knowledge of the businesses it serves and better assess the levels of inclusion of these groups in their workplaces.
For Marigold, this approach is an opportunity to strengthen our commitment to diversity and inclusion by aligning our practices with our ethical vision. But SODEC's influence doesn't stop there. Aware of the importance of preserving and promoting local artisanal heritage, SODEC supports Marigold in its efforts to support local manufacturing. We collaborate daily with Quebec artisans and businesses who share our values.

Their work is at the heart of each collection, and it is thanks to SODEC's continued support that we can maintain these collaborations. By helping these artisans thrive, SODEC also ensures the survival of the artisanal industry, ensuring that this unique expertise is perpetuated for future generations.
We are also in the process of securing a new grant from SODEC, which aims to support businesses in the arts and crafts sector. We are proud of this grant, as it aims to optimize our business model, increase our competitiveness, promote the diversity of Quebec arts and crafts, and strengthen the digital discoverability of our products.
This will allow us to continue to improve and consolidate our production resources while increasing our market share in Quebec thanks to increased support for our marketing activities.
