There are brands we love. And then there are brands we understand.

It all started with a discovery: while sifting through internet archives, we came across the YouTube channel Marilyne launched in 2014, at the very beginning of Marigold. "Journal d'une designer de mode" (A Fashion Designer's Journal), a series of vlogs in which she documented, week after week, the behind-the-scenes of a brand that had just been born. Raw, authentic, touching.

This discovery was the starting point of an idea: what if we picked up the camera again? Not to relive the past, but to explain what Marigold has become and why every choice we make has meaning.

This is how this series of 8 videos with Marilyne was born.

Throughout the episodes, Marilyne looks back at the beginnings of Marigold and the journey since 2014: the initial inspirations, learning to sew, the doubts, and the leap of faith that changed everything. She takes us back to those early years, when she filmed her vlogs alone in her workshop, and sincerely tells us what the Marilyne of 2014 would say to the Marilyne of today.

She then explains what "Made in Montreal" truly means on a daily basis: where the fabrics come from, how the logistics behind each piece work, and why this choice has a profound impact on the people who make our clothes, on our customers, and on the environment we all share.

She also opens the doors of the workshop to reveal, step by step, how a Marigold garment comes to life: from the first sketch to the final stitching. A rare glimpse into craftsmanship that deserves to be known.

Marilyne also addresses fundamental topics that are deeply important to us: greenwashing and how to recognize it, the concrete differences between fast fashion and slow fashion, and the values that have guided every decision we've made since day one.

Finally, she shares the obstacles she faced as an entrepreneur: Covid, the rise of AI, moments of doubt, and what, despite everything, gave her the strength to continue. To conclude the series, she talks about the Famille collection, the idea behind its creation, and shares her vision for the future of Marigold: a brand she continues to build, with as much passion as on the first day.

Because behind every Marigold garment, there is a story worth telling.
